AWANA Grand Prix ~ April 10, 2011

We finished our 3rd year in the AWANA derby car races (Jack's 2nd.) Paul and the kids were burning the midnight oil the week before to get their cars finished and turned in on time for weighing and judging. Jack was the only Cubbie participating so he raced with the Sparkies group. Unfortunately, he did not place in Speed (and wasn't too happy about that,) but it helped that he won the design award ribbon for his group (since he was the only one competing - yay Jack!) Gracie and Jared both competed in the T-n-T group and raced down to the wire. They ended up tying for 3rd place before Gracie edged out Jared in the run-off. (Jared took it very well!) Afterwards, we went for ice cream with friends and celebrated everyone's success. Great job kids!
