Mother's Day 2011 ~ May 8, 2011

Hope you moms out there had a wonderful Mother's Day. I got to start the day with entertainment by my kiddos, breakfast in bed, church & shopping, and then a few hours to rest by myself while Paul and the kids celebrated with Grammie Gail (unfortunately, he forgot to take pics over there :-(. We ended the day with cheesecake and Masterpiece Theatre!

I have been waking pretty early lately - often before 6:30, so the kids dubbed Mother's Day morning "Operation Keep Mom in Bed" until breakfast was ready. They took turns telling me stories and making me laugh. Here Jared and Jack are up to their mischievous ways. (Note my homemade decaf cappuccino on the bedside table. Thank you, honey!)

Of course the boys also had to bring in their guns :-)

Breakfast is served - a homemade sausage egg "mcmuffin" with natural sausage, a whole wheat English muffin and fruit salad. Thanks to Gracie for coordinating the menu (my favorites :-) and to Daddy for preparing it!
