Buried and Raised Again with Christ!

"Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection." Romans 6:3-5

"Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this portion of Scripture he announced to him the glad tidings (Gospel) of Jesus and about Him. And as they continued along on the way, they came to some water, and the eunuch exclaimed, See, [here is] water! What is to hinder my being baptized? And Philip said, If you believe with all your heart [if you have a conviction, full of joyful trust, that Jesus is the Messiah and accept Him as the Author of your salvation in the kingdom of God, giving Him your obedience, then] you may. And he replied, I do believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he ordered that the chariot be stopped; and both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and [Philip] baptized him." Acts 8:35-38 Amplified

Last Tuesday evening, our family experienced the delight of watching Jared make the "good confession of faith" in front of many witnesses, dedicate his life to Christ, & emerge from the waters of baptism "a new creation!'' Paul, especially, rejoiced in the privilege of getting to baptize his son, his own flesh and blood. How we both have loved watching God work in Jared's heart over the past few years and bring him to this point of confident faith. Praise God, from whom all blessings flow!

Unfortunately, it's hard to hear over the fountain, but Jared is confessing his faith in Jesus as the Son of God, and Paul is baptizing him "in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matt. 28:19)
