Trick-or-Treating at Merrill Gardens ~ Oct. 30, 2010

My mom's assisted living center likes to invite the neighborhood and residents' families' children to a trick-or-treating night sometime before Halloween every year. This year boasted quite a few children, including our own. In fact, it's become kind of a tradition for our kids - and they love it! The residents do too. You can tell they get a kick out of all the cute kids parading around in their costumes. I enjoy it because it allows the kids to do something more "meaningful" on Halloween. Here are a few pics from that night:
Jack showing off his SWAT team costume before we left.

My mom handing out candy to a little Snow White while Gracie the Clown and another little girl look on.

The residents usually sit outside their doors to make it easier (and to socialize!)

This lady was teasing Jack.

Jared decided his thrown-together army costume was not "cool," so he opted to go as last year's Anakin instead. His mask still freaks me out!

Love this pic with my mom!
