Tea with Grammie Gail ~ Jan. 1, 2011

Grammie invited Gracie, Esther, and me over for a ladies' tea on New Year's Day. No boys around (except for Poppie, who had the task of playing Christmas carols on the piano for us - what a treat!) So peaceful and relaxing - especially after 9 days with a house full of 6 boys! Esther & I kept remarking at how quiet their house was - such a change from our own. The food, conversation, and dessert were all delightful. Thanks, Gail, for the wonderful time! We all agree you could open up your own tea shop!

The table lovingly set.

Grammie with Gracie

Gail gave us a tour of all the Christmas displays she had around the house.

Poppie playing beautiful Christmas carols.

The new Bodum tea pot that Grammie received for Christmas - made excellent Jane Austen blend!

Their lovely tree.

Gracie soaking up the girl time (with special hot chocolate for her.)

Esther having a good time.

My delightful plate of savory goodness.

Now for the treats!

Gracie had drawn this picture of herself sometime late last year . . . Gail matted it and wrapped it up. I think it reminds me of a Veggie Tale character with a little bit of attitude! Gail also made cute note cards for me using a picture of the drawing.
